The Match on action shot worked well, and compliments the 'stalker' feeling the thriller opening gives. The opening itself doesn't give away much information except for characters, we are yet to find out why it's called 'The River. We are undecided about the choice in music as it was rather 'spacey'.

Below is the rough cut of our thriller opening. The music and titles need to be completed but our sequence is finished.

1. Low Mid Shot
- Shot of person walking just showing their feet. Slowly zooms in.
2. Long Shot
- Showing girl and friends who are drinking and dancing, being watched behind a tree.
3. Close-up
- Zooms in on girl drinking.
4. Low Mid Shot
- Shot of person walking just showing their feet. Slowly zooms in.
5. Two Shot
- Man and girl are walking in opposite directions and bump into each other. Only see the back of the man.
6. Long Shot
- Camera pans round following girl walking back to group of friends.

- Girl is blindfolded and tied to a chair in a dark room.

here is our finished thriller animatic:

today we created our animatics and soundtrack for it. we learned how to zoom in and pan on an image using the motion key frame.
here's some of the images that we used the motion key frame on:

storyboarding

started and completed storyboard with finalised idea.
for costumes we have decided that we want our actors to be dressed normally as we want the shots to look as natural as possible.
also, we have decided on the location of Mill Pond in Cambridge.

we came up with a list of props that we will need to shoot our opening sequence. they are as following:
- torches, lights, phone lights
- rope
- chair
- spirit bottle eg vodka

thriller conventions

as a group we like the idea of including voyeurism in our opening sequence. we have looked at various film trailers/opening sequences and found some shots that we think would be suitable to include.

brainstorming

starting our project we have come up with two ideas which we will develop to help us decide which choose. here are the basic ideas for the project:

first idea
- girl goes on a night out with friends - drinking etc
- wakes up at a random house, tied up
- include flashbacks
- not see kidnappers face

second idea
- shopping center setting
- crowds of people
- match on action of 2 separate people entering lifts
- ideas for props - gun, briefcase
